Robert N. Grant is a founding partner in the firm of Grant & Gordon, LLP and has specialized in the area of estate planning and administration for over 35 years.

 

Mr. Grant is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University, 1967, and a graduate of Stanford Law School and Stanford Business School, 1972.

 

He is a member of the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates section, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the San Mateo Country Bar Association, the Palo Alto Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.  Mr. Grant has been a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel since 1985.  He maintains Martindale-Hubbell's A.V. rating, its highest rating for legal skills and ethics, and he has been consistently recognized by the Super Lawyers survey, a joint project of Law and Politics and the publishers of San Francisco magazine, from 2005 through 2010.

 

Mr. Grant has given numerous presentations on estate and tax planning including recent seminars and lectures to Stanford Business School, Princeton University, Stanford University, Sand Hill Advisors Roundtable Discussions, and Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter of the California Society of CPAs and Peninsula Community Foundation.

 

A former member of the Board of Governors of the American Red Cross, Mr. Grant was also an active member of the Palo Alto Area Chapter of the Red Cross since 1983. He received both the Henri Dunant Honor Award in 2005 and Lifetime Program Achievement Award in 1998.  For many years, Mr. Grant has served on the Princeton Planned Giving Advisory Council. He received the Stanford Associates Governors Award for 2006-2007 for his volunteer work for the University.  He has also been a member of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (formerly Peninsula Community Foundation) from 1997 to the present.  

 

 

 

Judith V.  Gordon is a founding partner in the firm of Grant & Gordon, LLP and has specialized in trust and estate administration with an emphasis on tax planning opportunities and sophisticated tax strategies for over 30 years.

 

Ms. Gordon is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Florida, 1975, and a graduate of Georgetown Law School, 1978. She also received a Master's Degree in Taxation for New York University in 1981.

Ms. Gordon has been certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in Probate, Estate Planning, and Trust Law since 1990.

 

She is a member of the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates section, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the San Mateo County Bar Association, the Palo Alto Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
